The strong psychodynamic framework of the Solihull Approach provides a readily accessible pathway to engage meaningfully with others. We support practitioners to reflect on factors that influence expectations, capacity and behaviours.

Understanding the mechanisms of supporting emotional regulation and self-determination enables practitioners to identify what adjustments are required to achieve quality relational outcomes in complex situations. The model also provides a safeguarding element by promoting constant self-reflection based on the state of self and others.
